Spark Print Policy

Artwork, Proof & Colour Policy

Accurate artwork approval is one of the most important parts of custom printing. This policy explains customer-supplied files, proof approval, spelling checks, print colour and production tolerances.

Last updated: October 2026
Important: This page is written as a practical business-policy template for Spark Print. Order-specific quotation, invoice and written confirmation may contain additional terms. Nothing here is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

1. Customer-Supplied Artwork

Customers should provide the highest-quality artwork reasonably available. Vector files or high-resolution print-ready files are preferred where appropriate. Low-resolution images may print with visible pixelation or reduced sharpness.

2. Content Checking

Before approval, check all names, spellings, phone numbers, addresses, GST details, prices, dates, QR codes, social handles, website addresses and other content. Spark Print is not responsible for customer-approved content errors.

3. Proof Approval

A digital proof or design preview is intended to confirm layout and content. It may not exactly represent final colour, material texture, gloss, transparency, scale or finishing.

4. Colour Difference

Screens display RGB light while many printing processes use ink or toner and different colour systems. Screen brightness, monitor calibration, paper colour, vinyl, fabric and finishing can produce visible differences from the on-screen preview.

5. Reprints and Colour Matching

Exact colour matching between separate print runs is not always possible. Materials, machines, inks, environmental conditions and production batches can create reasonable variation.

6. Bleed, Cutting and Safe Area

Artwork may require bleed and safe margins. Important text, logos or borders should not be placed too close to trim or cut lines. Cutting and finishing processes involve normal production tolerances.

7. Fonts and Linked Assets

Missing fonts, linked images or unsupported effects can change a file when opened on another system. Print-ready PDF or outlined/vector artwork can reduce this risk where appropriate.

8. QR Codes and Barcodes

Customers should test QR codes, barcodes and links before approval. Print size, contrast, material, lamination and surface can affect scanning performance.

9. Copyright and Permissions

The customer is responsible for having permission to reproduce supplied logos, photographs, designs and trademarks.

10. Final Approval

Once artwork is approved for production, later changes may involve additional cost, delay or reprinting.
